Newfound Land and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NFL – PNP) 

This program is designed to bring skilled workers, international graduates, entrepreneurs, and their families to the province. The NLPNP is one of the immigration streams under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP), a federal program aiming to address labour shortages in Atlantic Canada.

NLPNP Categories

The NLPNP has several categories for individuals who want to immigrate to Newfoundland and Labrador:

Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker

This category is for individuals who have been accepted into Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry pool and meet the eligibility criteria for the NLPNP.

Skilled Worker Category

This category is for individuals who have a job offer from employers in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and meet the eligibility criteria for the NLPNP.

International Graduate Category

This category is for international graduates who have completed a degree or diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution in Newfoundland and Labrador and have a job offer from employers in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

International Entrepreneur Category

  • This category is for individuals who want to start or acquire a business in Newfoundland and Labrador, invest in it, and actively manage it.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

This category is for international graduates who have completed a degree or diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution in Newfoundland and Labrador within the past two years, want to start or acquire a business in Newfoundland and Labrador, invest in it, and actively manage it.

Priority Skills NL

  • This category is for individuals with skills that are in demand in Newfoundland and Labrador and meet the eligibility criteria for the NLPNP.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot

This category is for individuals who have a job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador-designated employer and meet the eligibility criteria for the AIP.
