Individuals with experience in transportation and aviation occupations may qualify for Express Entry category-based invitations.

Canada’s transportation sector plays a key role in supporting trade, logistics, and the movement of goods and people across the country. To address labour shortages in this industry, Express Entry category-based selection may invite candidates with experience in transport occupations to apply for Canada permanent residence (PR).
This category focuses on attracting skilled professionals who can contribute to Canada’s growing transportation and logistics networks.
To qualify for the Transport Occupations category under Express Entry, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Have at least 12 months of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work experience, gained within the last three years.
The work experience must be in one eligible transport occupation identified by the Government of Canada.
The work experience does not need to be continuous.
The experience may be obtained in Canada or outside Canada.
Maintain a valid Express Entry profile and meet the eligibility criteria for the respective category-based draw.
Candidates who meet these criteria may be considered during targeted Express Entry draws for transport professionals. Successful candidates may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR through the Express Entry system.
